Polartec® Windbloc® fabrics block 100% of the wind and offer maximum protection from the cold and the elements. A soft hand, stretch, and a durable water repellent finish (DWR) make this the highest quality, most comfortable windproof fleece product on the market. How does it work? Polartec® Windbloc® fabrics combine the warmth of Polatec® thermal fabrics with a polyurethane barrier membrane that allows moisture vapor transmission and is completely windproof and waterproof, eliminating the need for a windbreaker or additional shell. This reduces the weight and number of layers needed to protect and insulate.

Survivor Windbloc®
Fleece is a combination of 2 layers
of Polartec® 100 fleece laminated together with Vapex, a
waterproof/breathable membrane. Survivor is also windproof, durable, has
an ultra soft hand and drape and a nice crossgrain stretch. Since the
fleece is not treated for water repellency, you may what to apply a
silicone water repellant spray or wash-in (ask about Revivex).

Polartec® Windbloc® Velour fabrics have the same wicking, wind and water repellent characteristics as the Polartec 1000, but are made with a thinner, soft, chamois-like fabric. Some are two sided and other (marked "w/Mesh") are backed with a fuzzy mesh lining.
